John is a nationally and internationally regarded expert in use-of-force investigations and critical incident analysis. He is among the nation’s top use-of-force experts and has been studying, analyzing, and teaching the use of force standards daily since 2011.
With a depth of experience in analyzing the application of both ordinary and deadly force, John is a court recognized expert witness in use-of-force, self-defense, and firearms offering testimony in both civil and criminal cases. He has worked for both defense counsel and prosecution, in multiple states, at the federal level and for the Department of Defense in courts martial, and been quoted by a federal judge in summary judgement at the district court level.
STEPHANNIE WEIDNER is a nationally and internationally regarded subject matter expert in uses-of-force and self-defense and she has worked cases from across the United States. Stephannie’s command of the laws and standards that govern uses-of-force is second to none and her case analyses are highly regarded by the legal teams she works with.
By conducting impartial, comprehensive investigations of force-related incidents Stephannie is able to assess all of the facts and circumstances surrounding an incident to consult with legal teams regarding the necessity, reasonableness, and proportionality of the applied force. Drawing on her extensive education, specialized training and experience, Stephannie adeptly explains relevant human factors and the use-of-force standards to counsel, clients, and triers of fact.
KAERY DUDENHOFER is a full-time firearms, use-of-force, and self-defense trainer who has been teaching in some capacity for over 30 years, and in the firearms, use-of-force, and self-defense spaces since 2013.
Kaery has been studying and teaching the use of force standards since 2014 and is known nationally for her work as a consulting specialist and expert witness for civilian involved uses of force. Several of Kaery’s use-of-force reports have helped secure case dismissals making her a sought-after resource in this field.
